Week 1
We dedicated the first official week in ProE to building the fields. On Monday we tackled the obstacle of building the pieces and assembling the ramp. Once we were done with that we made the basic shape of the field and started on the goal. We also started working on the tower. Part of Tuesday and Wednesday was dedicated to assembling the ramp together. On Thursday we were given the task of adding 2 more wheels to the 4 wheeled robot and then we had to assemble the 4 and 8 wheeled robot onto the ramp to show the entire team what the pro’s and con’s of having more or less then 4 wheels. We ran into some difficulties, since the mentor had to leave and assigned another mentor who hadn’t used the new ProE to help, but we finished with barely enough time to present to the team. On Friday and Saturday we didn’t meet and nothing in ProE was accomplished because we couldn’t attend the meeting.

Week 2
Most of the week we worked on making the parts of the field. We also started creating the different parts of the robot in Pro-E for the team. We also created a telescopic arm in Pro-E and animated it. That’s what we mostly did in Pro-E.

Week 3
We got a lot done last week in Pro-E. We finished building a new frame to the robot, since we couldn’t use the pre-made frame. After that was accomplished we were able to attach the roller and the kicker to the robot. We have also figured out were all the cylinders, batteries, etc. would be placed. One of the newer members finished making the trident and started working on the bumpers. We did a few other things that have momentarily slipped my mind.

Week 4
We have officially finished the Pro-E model for the robot. It took some hard work, but it all paid of in the end. But then we discovered that there is no competition we can enter for Pro-E! So now we have to re-model the whole robot in Inventor!! We are currently working at that and actually have it half way done since we are using the dimensions from Pro-E. We hope to be done this week.

Week 5
This week in Inventor we finished the robot and made minor tweak to the robot. We looked up the requirements for entering the competition and learned that the file names all needed to be changed and that me need to make a 50 word statement, extra. We have finished half of the requirements and are hoping we will be able to rename all of the file names and submit it by the end of today. Wish us luck.
