Week 1
We made paper models of the robots to show what robot parts would most effective." -Brandon
"The teams were building paper models of all the robot types and we picked a robot to build.

Week 2
At the beginning of this week, the drive train team started to construct the drive train for the robot. We started by assembling wheels that have good traction on carpet, but we did not use spacers, and this made it so that when we tried to place the chains on them, the chains would not fit because the chain was hitting the side of the wheel. So we had to take off the wheels and put spacers on them, when that was completed, the wheels were placed back on the robot and the chains fit without flaw. before the chains could be placed on it though, we had to have motors. We mounted the two motors between the wheels, one on each side. so then we could assemble the chains. The chains were put on the robot on Saturday. The robots drive train was completed on Saturday, the robot has four wheels and two motors to drive it with. The robot was tested at the end of the meet on Saturday, it function properly.

Week 3
Week Three Report: There was not a day that went past that the robot did not have a problem. The gear boxes were not assembled properly, the sprockets weren't tight enough on the wheels, the wheels were changed from four sticky to two sticky and two slipper. Now it is only rear wheel drive. The second chaise was completed, with two sticky and to slippery wheels. All the other components are being mounted, the robot should be completely functional this week...emphasis on should.

Week 4
Week Four Report: Monday the drive train team didn't have a lot to do, we changed the robot from four wheel drive to two wheel drive. And made sure we had nylock nuts on all the bolts. Other than that we the drive train team had very little to do so we went and helped the winch team. Tuesday the only thing that the drive train team had to do was put chain tensioners on the robot. So we went and helped out the electrical team make lexan boards to place all the electronics on the robot. The rest of the week we worked on making a mount for the battery, compressor, and air cylinders. we almost have this completed, and then the robot will be one step closer to comlpetion.

-Andrew

Week 5
At the begging of the week we were still at Richwoods, on Thursday we move out to building H at Caterpillar. When we arrived we still had a lot to do on the robot. The front wheels of the robot were changed to omni wheels. And the kicker was improved so that it wouldn't bend with the bands on it. We also added to the bands on the kicker so it would kick better. And a wedge was added to the end of the kicker so it would chip the ball up in the air.
