Build (more)
At the begging of the week we were still at Richwoods, on Thursday we move out to building H at Caterpillar. When we arrived we still had a lot to do on the robot. The front wheels of the robot were changed to omni wheels. And the kicker was improved so that it wouldn't bend with the bands on it. We also added to the bands on the kicker so it would kick better. And a wedge was added to the end of the kicker so it would chip the ball up in the air.

Chairmans Award (more)
I have decided to try to do a PowerPoint for the presentation. I have started gathering event information and pictures of our community participation and fan recruiting. I am still deciding on the style of script, though.

Great job by all attendees. Teams proved robot can hurdle the bump! Spinner/kicker/dribbler teams validated concepts! Winch team can pull people across the floor! Grapple team can shoot the hook to the required height! Web team is getting team photos and details uploaded! Programming team is doing their magic! The shirt people are getting shirts ordered! The photography team is getting their work in support of the web. ProE team is gaining speed. Great job and teamwork by everyone. Did you believe we would be this far in 2 weeks?
Now the real work begins! We need final designs added to ProE. All component other teams need to provide their details (measurements) to the ProE team so they can do their magic. Please be making your lists of parts need to build. We need robot with components ready to fit this coming week. Component team leads need to coordinate their efforts with the other teams. If your team does not have a lead, you need to name one.
Good Luck to all - Don Gurik
Pro-E (more)
This week in Inventor we finished the robot and made minor tweak to the robot. We looked up the requirements for entering the competition and learned that the file names all needed to be changed and that me need to make a 50 word statement, extra. We have finished half of the requirements and are hoping we will be able to rename all of the file names and submit it by the end of today. Wish us luck.

Safety (more)
We moved to Building H this week. The robot was unsafe with metal shreads comming off the robots. So we're sanding down the robot to be safe. We have been having many difficulties with the robot, but luckily everyone has been pretty safe fixing it. We have kept the horsing around to a minimum and the safety glasses on. Good Job! Keep the good behavior up and have fun!!

Website (more)
Last week we put a lot of finishing touches on the website. Since we turned in the website to be viewed Wednesday, ideally we should already be finished, but unfortunately we are still fixing minor errors in our code. Thankfully, we have all of our photos and information on people that we need for the site. We also have most of our blog entries. Some bloggers are extremely reluctant to write their blogs, so it can be a hassle tracking down people and getting them to write their blogs. Since it's Monday and the last week of Robot Casserole, we have lots of work to do, and lots of bloggers to track down, so until next time, bye.
