In 2006, Caterpillar made the descision to sponsor two FIRST Robotics teams, and thus Robot Casserole was born. Since then we've had our ups and downs like any other team. Please look below to see our journey so far.
2010 Season
Coming into our six week build season we had already learned from our previous mistakes from the VEX and decided we would do a lot more planning this time. For the vex competition we did not do well because of lack or knowledge of the rules before we started building. This time coming in we decided that we would plan for rules and strategy first and build according to what we found which has definitely helped. There is still a lot of work to do so we will update this after our hopefully successful season.

2009 Season
During our 2009 season we were split between veterans and rookies, which called for a very interesting combination of experienced members, teaching the less experienced what they had acquired with Robot Casserole previously to the 2009 season. The game plan was on schedule until just before shipping the robot the team was crunched for time to change the conveyer belt design including material because it was not acting as the team had planned. Throughout the competition the conveyer belts continued to come loose which led to problems during matches, some major, some minor. Unfortunately a faulty battery led to a minutes of watching the robot on the field in the semi-finals. After a determined season our team came out on top in spirit and received the spirit award.

2008 Season
In 2008 we had an abundant amount of talent on the team. We were able to build the robot in a quick amount of time and therefore we were able to do an ample amount of testing. At the Wisconsin Regional a series of problems arose and we were unable to figure out a solution. Even with the problems, we managed to win a Judges' Award. We also competed in Atlanta, but unfortunately the same problems arose.

2006 Season
Despite working out of a tool shed, we managed to overcome obstacles and build a functional robot. We then competed at the Midwest Regional in Chicago and placed well in the competition. For our efforts we were awarded the Xerox creativity award.
