One of Robot Casserole's goals is to promote FIRST Robotics. We've tried many methods of promoting. We visited District 150's open house and set up an information booth. We also went to a Peoria Chiefs baseball game and demonstrated the robots on the playing field. In addition, we demonstrated our robot at the Sun Foundation's Arts & Science in the Woods. We also let the children experiment with the robot. All these efforts were done with the idea of inspiring students to become interested in science and technology. Recently, we attended a Rivermen Game. At the Rivermen game we displayed the Robot in the mezzanie to tell people present at the game about Robot Casserole and what we do. At half time we also went out on the ice and showed off what our robot from the previous year could do.
We were also involved in the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. In 2007 we went to Catapillar to show the President of Catapillar and the CEO one of our robots. Another even we attended was one of the local chiefs games to put our robot on display for people to see while they walked by. Furthermore, we also attended College for Kids at ICC. Finally, we also helped out at the Lego League Regional in 2008 and 2009 to take the opportunity to attempt to grab the attention of possible future participants in Robot Casserole.
